Never used one, but last time I checked they were like 5 or 10 dollars. At that price you can buy it, and if it doesn't work you haven't lost much.

Depends on the ebay controller.... I bought one to control my quick spool valve and it was a piece of ****. Didn't even work.

I have been running a voodoo ceramic ball manual boost controller for over five years on my turbo DD . I think back then it was 21 bucks shipped. I am not sure what fears Mike may have for you. Maybe he will elaborate for us. The lil thing came highly recommended from some grand national guys.

I guess as long as it works for you and you keep an eye on it then it's all good, but I have too seen these not work right out of the box new, and depending on what is not working, you can end up with an over boosting situation. If this happens and you don't catch it, the engine can run lean and detonation can occur. Just mentioning this is all, if you have one that you have been using for a while then you have a good one.

Ive used low pressure regulators with a 3 port solenoid..

input is 0-125 and output is 0-15, its pretty precise and reliable. just cant rem the brand name on it..

I do run a boost gauge and wide band and keep an eye out, but it has served me many many years.
