For this I’m speaking of after the turbo. You want it free flowing as much as possible. But you will need to work with what you have. And not split hairs.
3” full exhaust will give more BP then a 4” full exhaust.
If your cut out is at the end of your down pipe. When you open it your system will flow more like a 4” full exhaust maybe better.
Here the glitch. Watch your tune and watch boost control.
open and closed cut out. Be prepared for a boost rise when you open your cut out.
Each build is different. So your build is unique to your combo.
i know applications and scenarios differ, but on avg how much horsepower will a full 3” exhaust support. Compared to a 4”

My 5.3 in my c10 picked up 3lbs of boost and 40hp opening a 3" cut out at the bottom of a 3.5 down pipe with a 3" exhaust. This was at the 500hp level with a 66mm BW turbo. I rebuilt the tail pipe with 3.5" tube and it's about the same power and boost with cutout open or closed, 550ish. Just louder!

Yep the 3.” Full exhaust was the choke. 3.5” in that application was the equal to opening the cut out.

Glad to hear Blake is taking care of you!

Ive had pretty much all of them. Dougs is probably the best electric one, but they will all leak eventually. The LoudValve is a ton of fun just because it opens and closes so fast

I realize the truck intake flows fine, but I found a pretty good deal on a tbss intake. So I’m gonna do the swap. I want to use aftermarket fuel rails. For the guys that’s messed with this, which injector would fit

Would the truck injectors work? Or have to go to a longer style.

Also so with new rails I think I’m gonna have to do away with the EVAP. Certain way to do this or just kill the MIL
