Default Boost between altitudes

I have a friend at 6000' elevation that runs 12psi of boost on their stock internal hemi ram (STS kit). I am at about 200 ft elevation and run 8psi. How can I compare what boost we equal out to? I mean, if I run 12psi on my stock bottom end I'll bend a rod into a pretzel I'd imagine.

6000 ft will be aprx. 20 kPa less then sea level (100 kpa). So he will have to make almost 3 lbs of boost more to be moving the same amount of air. (6.9 kPa=1 lbs of boost)

I went from from 4800 feet in WY to 1200 feet AZ and gained 11-12 kPa at the same 7 lbs of boost in the scanner.

You probably won't bend a rod, but you might brake a ring-land on a piston from detonation if your tune is not correct.

I saw 11psi on the dyno this weekend. That's 1psi more that I make here. Its about a 2500ft difference in DA.
