what are you guys f/i turbo guys running..the maf or sd tune?whats best and benefits of each one.

what do you think is better SD of MAF? i've heard that SD is harder to tune, esp. stuff like meth.

I switch to SD simply because its easier to run meth with... But it is harder to tune.

ok then so it is easier to run with it. Well what exactly is needed to go SD then? sorry for all the questions, im a newb to SD and have been reading about it lately.

Technically you could just disable the MAF and have a 1 bar SD tune... Really no point in that though, as most who change to SD run forced induction of some sort and upgrade the operating system to support higher capacity MAP sensors.

so if i were to be running a higher Hp and quite a bit of boost i'd wanna go with a 2 bar or even a 3 bar SD tune? and same with map sensor obviously. are there any huge benefits to running SD tunes that you see Smokeshow?

With the older trucks it is beneficial because you run out of MAF. You need a 2 bar MAP sensor for a 2 bar tune. As for benefits, there are good and bad things. Depends on who you talk to, and honestly whoever ends up tuning it.
