Question Blown/Turbo 6L guys in here...

I am looking to put the finishing touches on this round of mods. I have a set of Pacesetter LTs waiting to go on which will get a 2.5" true dual Magnaflow with stock cats. I am thinking of a meth kit but not sure if its needed. I am seeing about 6-7psi on my Radix with a 3.2" pulley (exhaust is stock except for Magnaflow muffler).
I was going to swap down to a 2.75" pulley when I get my dyno tune.
Any guesses on where that will put my boost with the new LT setup?
Wondering if adding the extra psi will require meth?
Also, can you shoot meth and still run a small wet shot of N2O down the road (together)?
What I really want to know is how well have your 6L's held up to 9+psi? Anybody having any issues with spun bearings, broke rods etc...? I know the tune has to be dead on but I think I have that covered with a dyno and Wideband that's going in.

My current set-up is below because my sig doesn't list anything but the Whistle Tips WOOO WOOOO!!!

LQ4 6L, Radix, VHP 062 cam/Springs (210/218 .551 52* 112lsa), Stock bottom end, Eaton, 4.10, Built 4l65E (starting to slip, I think )
The End.

I think you can get away without meth, but you won't be able to push the timing like you want. Another thing people do with n2o on the street is have a seperate fuel cell and run race gas in it for the N2o. That would require another pump of course. You can run everything like you want, it is all dependent on the tune. The cooling effect of the n20 will make a difference. There are so many variables there that your questions are hard to answer. At least with my knowledge anyhow. Me personally would go with the 2.75 pulley and meth. Then depending on what the KR looked like, try the n2o since you already have it. I'm not a n2o fan though.

i'm running the 2.8 pulley and am seeing 9.5 almost 10psi now. I do have some KR issues, but i'm working on that. (slowly but surely). No issues so far other than working on my tune, which i've been neglecting to do lately. Just don't have the time.

Since you already have n2o, I'd start with that. You can always add meth later if you aren't getting enough from the blower and the juice.

Man Holty...9.5# seems high even with a 2.8. Maybe my exhaust is that much less restrictive...I have a 3" pulley and mine tops at 7.6#. I can definitely move the exhaust though, it's big...hmmm. I would of guessed 9#'s for slow with the 2.75 but if Holty is getting 9.5 with 2.8, I guess that's what about slow will see. I do have some high flowing heads as well...yeh I guess 9# to 9.5# should be a good goal for stock exhaust.

It wasn't my motor. The only reason I don't like n2o is you don't have it all the time. The hassle of worrying about being out or feeling restricted using it due to cost and hassle of refilling. Even if you have a 60lb bottle at the house to refill with, it is still a constant expense and hassle. Then you have to worry about bottle pressure. Most systems won't perform properly with low bottle pressure. If you find something worth spraying at a red light next to you, you don't have time to wait for the bottle to warm up in that 45 seconds you are sitting there. It is cheap to start with but long term hassle and expense makes it a pain in the ***!
That is why I have never used more than 1 bottle of n2o with each system i've owned then sold it. I'm not saying I won't ever use it again but I would have to be pretty desperate for some reason and it would just be temporary like before.
Filling my 1 gallon of meth every 5 tanks of gas isn't much expense or hassle IMO.

Holty doesn't have a cam listed in his sig. That may be why he is building more boost with the 2.8 pulley...More intake restriction. I lost 2-3psi when I put my little 216/224 114 cam in my 4.8.
