I've used that before and it works well. This last go-around I used lava wrap and I really like it too.

Yes that is the type of wrap to use. Don't buy the titanium DEI whatever you do. Also, I wouldn't buy that kit, those ties aren't worth a **** and unless you have an oven or kiln to fit your hot pipes in that rattle can coating isn't going to work the way its intended.

My hot pipes are what I'm wrapping! They all have been ceramic coated with 2000 degree Jet Hot!

So the rattle can spray doesn't do anything? How do you tie the stuff down then?

I used hose clamps at each end and cut the excess off with a dremel cutoff wheel. You can use wire also and just twist it with pliers. The rattle can is a sealer that is supposed to protect the wrap, but it has to be baked on to work correctly.

Whats wrong with the titanium stuff?

I used stainless safety wire and pliers to secure mine, you can get it good and tight.

DEI maintains the silicon paint cures once the pipes reach 400 degrees.

Have you considered ceramic coating?
