Default Best Place for Mandrel Bends, Also how important is it???

Doing a front mount on my F-Body and needing a couple bends. Anyone know of a cheaper place? I looked at Stainless Works. Pretty nice website. Just trying to check out other alternatives.

How important is it to have the mandrel bend? I have been thinking about just having a local exhaust shop do everything. Only problem is that he just has a standard exhaust bender. How crucial is it to not have it shrink on the bends? I attached a picture where the bends would be...Of course, don't forget the downpipe.

What if instead of using 2.5" pipe, I used 2.75" or 3" to make up for the difference. I know that everyone said that 2.5 would be plenty of flow. Just trying to keep all of this in the budget.

Mandrel bends is a must imo, anything with that crinkle will not only hinder flow it will also create turbulence and heat..

these guys do have them cheap. was looking to get some from them but ended up not needing anymore. there is a pipe manufacturer that supplies bends for installs of what seems like chemical production lines or something like that that i found through ls1tech their prices are awesome on 304ss if you want that. at least half the price of others. I use magnaflows mandrel bends which are sold as stainless but are 409 so be ware that they will discolor and corrode but will not rot. they are really cheap at about 20 bucks a bend and weld it up with some 309 mig wire and you have a good rot free system
