Well I had recently installed a new belt because I had seen the tensioner bouncing too much at idle and thought that maybe this was causing slippage too. I bought the new belt 1 1/2 inch shorter and if fitted tighter but still not tight enough. Yesterday I gave it a 30 mph punch and when it shifted into second spining the tires I let off and heard a bang under the hood. I looked back and the belt was on the street and the tensioner pulley was rolling behind me LOL. Hopefully this was my problem of boost leak. I'm just waiting on David of Magna Charger to return my phone call and send me the new design tensioner.

 

Ahhh, I remember my first tensioner snapping just like it was yesterday.

 

That sucks. Did anything else get damaged in the assault?

 

No, just the tensioner.
