What heads you using atomic? Someone recommended some TFS as cast 220's anybody running those? Think those would be a good head for my set up?

Whats your budget and what intake are you going to run. FWIW, I'm going to probably run TFS 235's on my 408 when I get it back together. Obviously there are a lot of guys that run 317's with great numbers but they are running 20+ psi through them.

What are you goals with this truck by the way? 1000rwhp and 9's?

WCCH stage 2 L92s with about 0.035" of milling and a 0.080" cometic gasket.

Going to run a holley high ram for sure goals are exactly that 1khp but Im just so confused about what head and what compression to run seems like there are WAY to many choices and the fact of the matter is that I'm not a professional racer nor do I want to become one. I just want a mean *** street truck and get the right parts the first time .I had budgeted 2k for heads and a cam and seems like the 220 as cast heads are right in that ball park. So I don't know what to get I'm going crazy reading about all the different heads.

Get some L92 heads and have the exhaust side ported. 220s cam, and throw 26psi at it with your s480 and theres your 1khp

Aim for 9:1 compression if you plan on pump gas with meth, 9.5 if you plan on e85 only.

so i ended up getting a good deal on some lsa heads from a friend. come with ti retainers btr double springs good for 650 lift and ss valves, stoked! also picked up a ls3 hi ram!

yeah i think ill run them for now and take them off next winter and get them ported. these should out flow the crap out of the stock 317's i had and those heads did some work ...lol
