Default Anyone run into belt/tensioner issues with a 2 step?

Tested out some equipment for the first time yesterday....Line lock on front brakes, 2-step and D1 T-brake. Line lock was just used for the burnout.

Let go of the T-brake switch on the 3rd yellow and the truck sat there for 3 seconds before moving, then had no power. Found the blower belt off and the tensioner stop broken off. Haven't had any belt issues in 5 years before this. So I'm guessing it popped while holding on the 2 step. Tensioner bounces around a fair amount just normal idling.

Anyone else run into belt/tensioner issues with a 2 step?

Line lock, 2-step, T-brake test video

I had one with my turbo setup and never had a problem, but that obviously easier than with a blower. I cant see your video at work but I have seen a copo camaro on the 2step and the tensioner is all over the place.

Well damn beat me to it ^

Well, that video would explain it. Didn't envision it being hammered that bad.

I took that first video, slowed it down to 1/8 speed, and added a few repeats.

Slowmo

Lol....looks like he ended up with a new tensioner.

Thats crazy. I think if I was running a blower set up with a serp belt and a transbrake I'd just skip the 2-step all together. Have the combo dialed in to work good just letting the motor run into the converter.

Might have to disarm the 2 step, but not thrilled that the current converter stalls at 3800 rather than the spec'd 2600.

This one is a PI. I talked to them and was told they could replace the "turbo stator"?? with a standard unit. Haven't even made a pass on it yet though.
