I do...with it the temps usually stay in the 190-210 range. Without it my gauge was maxed out at 250 in about ten minutes of easy driving. It makes me feel better and the oil last longer, but look at how many guys dont use one and dont have problems....

True. The issue i was having is about of 1500-2000 miles on the oil it would start dropping oil pressure, my assumption my oil was used up at that point.

I don't use one but have been considering getting one. I noticed a 5psi drop in hot oil pressure with the turbo.

I wanted to convert the stock tranny cooler into an engine oil cooler but I'm not sure if it can flow enough. Anyone know?

Do you guys run a heavier oil to help compensate for the increased temps?

Rotella T6 synthetic 5w-40, designed for turbo diesel engines under heavy duty and extreme heat. I don't run an oil cooler and I'm not necessarily worried about it either. Just change the oil often, cheap insurance considering it's only around $38 total with filter.

I have also noticed around the same drop in oil pressure under hot conditions. I had assumed oil temperature is what would be the cause. Nice to see someone else experienced it. I'd love to get around and install an oil temp gauge and cooler.

I ran the factory one on my last setup so I dont really have anything to compare not having one but I know I plan on running an aftermarket one on my new build.
