Default Anyone boosted a new 2014+ 6.2 truck?

Hey guys,

Wondering if any of you have boosted a 2014+ 6.2? I recently got rid of my 2004 Silverado SS with a radix (12.20 truck) and really regret it. It had 200,000 miles and didn't owe me a thing! I ended up replacing it with a 2015 Duramax (my first new ride ever) and although I love the truck, it's more truck then I need. Plus it's slow as **** compared to my old SS. I know I can tune it, etc, but I don't want to go there while its under warranty.

I'm in process of replacing it with a 2015 1500 with a 6.2/8 speed combo. No plans to do anything with that truck just yet either, but one can dream. Really wondering how that engine (high compression/direct injection) will respond to traditional hot rodding. I'm assuming great from what the vette boys are doing.

Thanks guys.

Too bad you don't want to keep the duramax. Mine runs 13s on a tune and exhaust. Factory tunes are really bad on the LML

It's not off the table, but I've been leaning away from it for various reasons. Although, I love the truck I don't need that much truck (at least right now) and I worry about future repairs. CP4 pumps, injectors, etc. I can technically do the work myself, but I don't have a nice garage (that the truck will fit in) to do it and I really don't have the time. That means a HEFTY bill! I worry about tuning it because although I don't feel I will have a problem with major breakage due to the tune, I do feel that there is a possibility something could fail and as a result of being tuned, my warranty would be void. They can tell no matter what you do because of the "higher torque" value that would be stored in some of the modules (other then the pcm). So I would end up waiting til the warranty is gone, but again any failures (injectors, pumps, etc) would be crazy money!

Big "*******" brother is another factor that I worry about if I tune it (mostly if I delete it).

I was looking into the tunes where you keep the factory emissions equipment. I know Nick has one but I had a few guys pm me about negative stuff with regards to his product. Not sure if Kory or Rob do a good tune that retains the emissions stuff???? Plus, I don't think the economy is improved much if at all????

What times did you run? Mods? Thanks again, I haven't made up my mind 100%, but I'm pretty close to just going back gas. Appreciate the feedback.

I'm worried about the CP4 and injectors as well. I had about 50k miles left of my warranty when I decided to make the plunge.i know alot can go wrong but that's the same with every vehicle. Wouldn't a turbo and tune void warranty on a new 6.2 as well? my lml actually ran a 14.85 bone stock but I added an afe intake, a flo pro 5" turbo back exhaust and fleece performance did the tune. (They are local and friends of mine) no more emissions stuff or EGR. I'm gonna dyno shortly to go over a few things on the efi live and then I'll make a few more runs at the track. It's my tow rig for my other truck so I'm not looking to get serious with it. Night and day difference after the mods, and I wouldn't think twice about doing it again

I'm not planning to do anything to the 6.2 for a while. It runs really good and I think I would be content with it for a bit before the mod bug kicked in. I think I would really like the duramax with a tune too. It's tempting. Did you get a 1/4 mile time/mph with the tune/mods?
