i have a 4door pre-runner. 2wheel drive. it weighs more than the x-runner, toyotas version of a sport truck, but my truck is still faster, better gearing, and weight over the axle helps me leave the line ALOT quicker than an xrunner. there are two x-runners that are beating me in mph in the 1/4 but my time is still faster because of my 60ft jump. the fastest x-runner has me beat by 2mph but i'm 2/10ths faster than him. my 60ft is 3/10ths faster than his

Unichip.

 

there is a plug and play/flashable unichip for a tacoma, yes. you are correct. and there have been numerous dynos done, even on a dyno tuned and programmed unichip, the most gains were 6hp. not quite worth the $300 chip and the cost of multiple hours on the dyno.

the unichip only works on N/A trucks anyway.

 

They have a piggy back for the Tundra, fully tunable by a unichip dealer with their software. I seen over 10hp out of the box going from a 10:1 afr to 11:1.
