When I wrapped my old STS is made a noticeable reduction in spool time. Heat loss is a killer in rear mount set-ups since the exhaust cools which increases density but reduces the Volume as well as the velocity. Not what you want to spin the turbine. Those characteristics are better for the cold side of the system, not the hot side.

Would using tow haul when you want to get on it hard make it last any longer? lol
Would not last long...and I can quote you hundreds of examples but I'd be wasting my time. Your either gonna learn from people's mistakes on this or your gonna have to learn from your own mistakes. Either way your gonna come to tbe same realization we all did for those of us who tried to make it work. Stock 60e's suck with most any power adders, especially boost.

Front low mount. Spools quicker then rear mount will.

Wrapping the pipes, does make a very noticeable difference in spool time. I found that on my STS as well.

Converting mine to front mount, 18 feet of charge pipe would spool fine but I am sure I could make more power moving it up front...
