welcome to boost !
Did he have some type of boost controller? if he did chances are you have a 5# spring in your wastegate(this controls the amount of boost you get from the turbo). The spring you want should be red. 2. get a new fitting from a hydraulic hose shop or call STS for a new one. 3. PM BLUE01 , he sells sweet *** billet oil caps with a threaded 1/4 hole for your return line.He can also get you a braided SS oil return line for no worries!! Good luck

sweet, do i just take the plate off the waste gate and look for the spring. cant wait to get it all installed its goin to take some thinking on my air intake tubing, cuz i got a body lift on my truck but i think i can figure it out, it might take some cuttin so i can get it to where you can't see it. im gonna try and work that out tomorrow. thanks for the info

Yes, take the back cap off the wg and look at the spring. Yellow is like 3.6psi, Red is a 5.8psi. If you have a boost controller then that will "reset" when you hook it up. Pull the cap on it and turn it ccw until it stops. Leave it like that till your system is hooked up and functioning. When you're ready to mess with high boost start off by turning the ebc **** in (cw) two turns. Then start testing the truck at WOT and turn the EBC until you get your desired boost.

no i dont have a boost controler, so i guess the previous owner who said he was runnin 10lbs must have had a boost controler right. sorry for all the questions just don't want to screw anything up.

When I first installed the STS kit on my 6.0L it had the red spring in the wastegate and I would see 10 psi boost or close to it at the 5600 shift point. I installed the yellow spring and the boost pressure is very consistent at 5 psi maybe 5.5 at the highest. I recommend that you install a boost gauge right away so that you know what pressure your system is making because it might be considerably more than 5-6 psi.
