Default Another Meth Inj Question

I had someone tell me that you can only inject something called M1 methonol ---- I thought as long as its methonol you could inject it. I have heard of people injecting washer fluid.

Hows about sheding some light on this for me ---- TIA

Some methanol comes pre-lubricated for 2 stroke engines. I haven't heard of M1 before.

M1 is VP Fuels name for their 100% methanol. No lube. I've run about 20 gallons (at 100%) through my Snow kit.

They have 2 other versions with some lubricants added. If the lubricant is oil based, it could harm the seals in the pump (that's why you can't pump E-85 with a Meth kit). You would have to ask the Meth kit manufacture if it would cause any damage.

Like KB said, tons of guys just run windshield washer fluid. Someone will have to chime in but I'm pretty sure you want the brand rated for -20 degrees. The "good down to 32F" stuff doesn't contain methanol.
