Default Am I safe

Ok so today in driving and my oil light comes oil shut engine off now seems like I'm not getting enuff oil pressure what could it be motor not making any weird sounds steal drives good it's in between the frist line like it has Like not even 16 pounds of pressure

Could be sending unit going out, but for the chance that its the pump I wouldn't take the chance and keep driving it

Would that be the oil pressure sensor because it made a code pop up and it was the sensor but I made sure it was plugged in good is it hard to change the oil pump its like 100 bucks for a new ls3 pump

Just changed the oil sensor and still the same so ima change the oil tomarrow and see it theirs any metal shavings in it hope not

You can buy a cheap mechanical gauge from oreillys for about $15. That would tell you if it's a true reading, or just an electrical error.

This is exactly what happened to me on my 04. Gauge needle servos are notorious for crapping out, guys have made entire businesses out of rebuilding these dashes, check fleabay and you will see hundreds offering to rebuild them a fee.

It's a 2011 truck man I just don't seem like its the gauge but ima go to oralleys tonigh don't I plug it in where the oil filter goes

Well since you didnt tell us anything about this. Your title is Turbo... does this have a turbo or is it stock? If it is a 2011 is should be under warranty unless you have done the turbo mod?
Mine is a 2004 and my gages are all over the place it is electrical issue.
