Alkycontrol/2 bar install question
#1
I am installing an Alkycontrol kit that came with a 2 bar map sensor and got hung up at the point where the map sensor only connects to the PAC box. I would like to use a 2 bar custom OS in EFI live, so I need to connect the 2 bar map to the engine control wires (stock map wires) as well as the PAC box. The pictures show what I am looking at, do I need to splice into the stock map sensor wires? Or, do I need an additional map sensor that plugs in the stock location? The truck has a Magnacharger, fwiw.

this is where im at too. i may use this map possibly as my pcm map because this will hook up to a hose easier stockck style would. also because im not running my truck intake anymore.

The stock style map will plug into hose if need be. My dad used a piece of 1/2" (I think) hose to move the stock map on his C5 because of firewall clearance issues with a Fast 90.

I have one other question about the Alkycontrol kit, where did you guys find switched 12v under the dash to power the PAC? The pump has a large motor, so I need to find a wire fused for at least 15 amps.
edit. My truck is an 05, so it uses data bus. I am still searching for answers, LOL.

Well, I fixed up the wiring I already had, added a relay and everything runs great right now. I am using the only switched 12v pin I could find on the driver side fuse pannel to trigger the relay, the only problem might be that it becomes 5v when the key is in acc. position. I had some heater circuit codes pop up a while ago, I though that may be due to using that pin. I am up and running now though
Alkycontrol is great! The kit works flawless. I pulled some fuel out of the PE table to get an 11.5:1 AFR. I also bumped my timing from 17 degrees to 25. Before Alky, I would get a bit of knock at 17 degrees, now I don't have a hint and am running 25. The truck pulls much harder now. I can't wait to get it back to the track. Thanks TurboBerserker and KySilverado for the help.
