Default Aeromotive 340 vs Bosch 044

I need to buy a fuel pump as I am going lean on just a 50 shot. Current set-up is a stock intank with a Walbro 255 inline. I have a factory return style fuel system with factory regualtor.

I am looking for an inline fuel pump at this point and comparing the Aeromotive 340 vs the Bosch 044. If I dont have enough fuel with either of these pumps, I will put a Walbro 255 in the tank and I know that will be plenty. So the question is:

What would be better in my application? See flow charts below:

It looks like if I buy an aftermarket regulator and run 3 bar pressure, I will be able to get 340 lph out of the Aemotive 340. If I keep the fuel system at 4 bar, it looks like the Bosch maintains better flow at higher pressures.

Thoughts/comments anyonre?

Throw the 044 on there. Why go change the regulators ect when you can slap the 044 on and roll.. Alot of us are running the 044's

Just like you said, the Bosch flows better from about 55psi and up which if you are boost refrencing the regulator I would say is pretty important since you are increasing fuel pressure.

Considering Rik at synergy(IIRC) made 600 or so on a 255 I would be willing to be atleast 750-800 hp.. There are a handfull of us guys running them on full bolted 6.0's with 10psi+ and I have yet to see a drop in FP..

eBay has some pretty nice looking mounting brackets for the Bosch 044.
Kind of off topic but at what point do you have TOO much pump after the in-tank pump? As in if you have a stock in-tank pump and then you add say a dual 044 setup in-line, can't you run the risk of sucking the feed line dry? Or can the stock pump keep up since it's a shorter distance of fuel line to keep full? Probably easier on a return system?

If you have dual 044s in line, you can always run the first pump/in-tank pump at a lower pressure. According to that graph, if you ran the first pump at 45psi, and the second pump provided the 60psi to the injectors that our trucks run on, the first pump would flow more. So the feed line will never go dry.

I am close to 600rwhp spraying the 50 shot on the 255 and it went lean at the top of second gear. I made 550 without the spray, but that was with a ton of meth. If the Bosch 044 can support 650rwhp without meth, that will be plenty. I dont plan on spraying more than a 100 shot.

I think if you run twin 44's, you will need a surge tank. I am sure the 44's can suck through the factory pump without the surge tank, but it probably wouldnt be ideal.

I seems like the ideal set up for the 750+rwhp set ups (with a return stlye fuel system) would be to have a Aeromotive 340 feeding an inline Bosch 044. I bet that would support 800-900rwhp and you would be able to run less than a half tank of gas.

I'd like to see what this lil aeromotive 340 and a set of 60's could feed. I am betting its all I'll need to run 10 psi.
