Default 89 5.3 MPT70 swap 11.9@121 first time out

Here is a little something that We have been working on over the last 2 years. Big D finally shed the tranny demons and got it to the track. At 4300 lbs and a 2.1 60' it ran a 11.97 @ 121 foot braked and a soft launch. We need cal tracs before hitting it with the brake. Video is crappy but catches the end and the time.

Very nice! Looks like you've come a long way from the 137hp she put down earlier.

Can you change the plugs on the pass side? Looks cramped.

Thanks! ideally you would want a sensor for every exhaust port but we weren't trying to tune from this one. We just wanted to keep tabs on how hot the outlet of the turbo was running.

15lbs @ 15* timing right now. Still the stock 5.3 internals. We are playing with diferent knock sensor setups right now. Until we get that working right we dont want to up it to much. We still havent launched off the trans brake yet. It builds 3-4 lbs foot barking it at the line where as the trans brake builds 9-10 lbs. I'm thinking that it will wheel hop off the brake at least until we get some cal tracs for it.

It is a little tight but we kept the plug change in mind when we built the log.
