What size of belt are y'all guys running with a TVS 1900 with a 2.80 pulley for the 8 rib set up??

Also what size of belt y'all running for the a/c. Thanks.

 

Do you have a Standard or OD crank pulley?

 

I'm going with a 10% overdrive pulley.

 

While I can't really help you considering I dont have a 2.8 pulley, you can get a 6 rib belt that fits and just convert the # to 8 rib. I am sure someone will chime in what that setup.

 

Also what size idlers are you running ? I know one is adjustable .

You can wrap a string around the pullies and mark it to find out what size belt you need . Or do what I've done before and go to the parts store and try a couple sizes

Just don't forget to account for belt stretch and tensioner position.

 

Pat and I went thru this last year when we did the 8 rib conversion.

Yep like said make sure the tensioner is riding where it needs to in the middle or close to as possible . Hard throttle on / off snaps like to eat belts if the tensioner isn't set correctly .
