Could you make an LSX block with the same stroke/bore and still call it an 8.1L, or would having LS based heads/cam/intake make it not the same to you?

I say youve been dared to do it by some jerkoffs negative comments. Were all part of this comunity for the same reason: to ponder and build and do something thats what we want to do. I think its an awesome idea and its been done with regular BBC why is an 8.1 any different? How the heck are you going to blow the heads off? 6 bolts per cylinder come on. Some good head studs and your set maybe O ring the head if thats possible I know diesel guys do it.

Plus if you do it maybe that means your whipple will be up for grabs? Can I call dibbs on it?

8.1 heads flow better are symmetrical port and are already setup for coil per cylinder etc.
GEN VII BBC is the best designed BBC of them all.

Shoot i will have 50 k in complete truck when i get to that point and you cant build a lsx that big hell boosting the 454 lsx has already caused some issues and junk blocks.

And just for the hell of it. It is ride or ridden there is no road to express riding in a car. You drive on the road. You ride in the car or have ridden in a 15 psi eclipse.

ahh the big boosted would be for my 1500silverado like EDS.. wish i could find a second one because its for my camper rig and would be nice to run 10 psi for towing.
