Default Wastegate

Hey everyone im just really getting into the turbo game with my sierra truck and my biggest question for now is about my 39 mm waste gate. I looked at different posts and didnt see much on it but i see it has two ports for banjo barbs , so my question is do either of theses ports have to be hooked up or can i just leave the barbs in without anything running to them and just go with my springs for pressure control.

here is some starter photo of my project

yea you can just leave unhooked and itll work off of spring pressure only. 39mm might be a little small though

I dont like that wg plumbing either, that coupled with the small gate might cause some boost creep/spike issues. But it may work perfectly idk for sure. Is that an ebay gt45?
