Default 78mm to 90mm throttle body

03 2500hd, tvs 1900 6.0

I have a few questions for you guys that swapped the 78mm ls1 throttle body to the ls2 90mm. Is their a noticeable differance..? For the coolant throttle body hose do you just bypass the throttle body..? Instead of running the xlink is did anyone ever try repinning the harness or try moving the pins or connecting them together, i looked at the wiring diagram for the 6 and 9 pin. The 5v referances will be the only catch......i will be looking into this..lol.

Did you try it, I know repinning wont work totally. Its not that easy, there are 2 5v referance signals too. Ill try it, ill hook one up and then them both. Ill hook the tech 2 up when i do it and see what codes come up. I will mess with it for a while b4 i give up..lol.

Are the gold flap throttle bodies ok to use..? Im not doing any crazy boost, 12 will be the most.

What style do u prefer..? The ls3 is supposed to be more responsive a quicker. The all silver ls2 style are hard to find under 300.

I didn't notice any difference response wise but there is no doubt the LS3 motor is weaker and that makes the LS2 preferred. Yes unfortunately they are more expensive, I have numerous scans showing the ls3 sucking closed. Currently have the LS2 and at 15-16psi it stays at 100%
