Is a TVS a heat pump? I read using the search function that Blownchevy said to do and it came up how the TVS was a hot air device. Also read in the search that a TVS on a 434 only made 950 crank

I guess you guys really know your stuff! I assume that GM needs engineers like the ones at Baker so they can save money. There certainly was no need to develop the LS9 or LSA if a stock LM7 can hold the power. My bad folks, I guess I stand corrected.
As for the 950 crank on a 434, yes the 2.3L is about maxed out at 950-1000 BHP. I really do not think that is much to be ashamed of, do you? There is always going to be a bigger turbo, bigger blower, bigger this, bigger that. I truly wish you all would see it for what it is, a VERY well engineered piece of work that will satisfy 99.99% of the masses.
Congrats on your HUGE HP numbers on your stock motor. Personally I think it is NOT responsible to report that this can be done on a stock motor, there are people out there that will chase that dream and either go broke doing it or hurt themselves.

I agree there should be some sort of warning though... don't try this at home kids
Great numbers, congrats... and yes, I too would like to see the downpipe.

I agree as well, Im sorry but I myself can't make that kind of power with my truck on my own. Maybe if I had a tuner with me to get it there but I am highly skeptical of the longevity of that motor making that kind of power.
Enjoy that sucker while it lasts!

I never said anything bad about the 2300. I just would not recommend it to make 1000hp is all. It is a very nice piece indeed and I am sure that is why GM uses it.
I use them in builds up to 600whp and they are great with never a trouble one. Other then the occasional broken tensioner or water pump pulley. I personally have not pushed a 2300 so I will be waiting to see for my self is all.
As far as me being a so called idiot by Blownchevy for making big power on stock engines???? (Maybe just a big miss understanding too lol, could be going at it for no reason and will laugh about it later?) Three years and waiting for a 900+hp LQ9 to break! It came from a 93,000 mile Escalade that was burnt to the ground. I have done it with many 4.8's 5.3l's and 6l's with no trouble. The pistons are not weak either, only when you rattle them. With good fuel this is not an issue. The weakest link with a proper tune is the RODS!
The engine, turbo system, and fuel system will last for seasons like this. The trans, rear diff, front diff, drive shafts will come and go first.
If you are going to talk about reliability of the stock engine you might as well leave them bone stock.
Will it still be dumb when his forged engine is done and he makes 1000+whp with a 83???? That is what the system is built for anyhow. Turbo is the same chassis.

Yeah, yours should really make the hp with the 75. What hot side so you have. Steve's is a 83mm turbine wheel with a 1.1 a/r t-6 housing. Do you have a 83, 87, or 96mm turbine wheel? You should be good for another 12-14lbs/min or total air flow over the 68.

Since im new to this can you answer me this? what is the major difference in longevity of a forged motor or stock motor if the tune is correct?
