man sorry to hear that.

that tbss went 11.87 at the track and when you get your new set up ready give me a pm. he ran the 11.87 on the 100 shot now has 150 and doing heads and cam. The people at sac were like "wtf"

we will be out at the street races in san mateo tonight at in and out burger. the 150 shot pulls a lot better than the 100 thas for sure. bring your truck out we should have some fun

I dont think Rick has the truck complettly dailed in yet. I love to watch the street races but I can't afford to get caught racing. I have a class A drivers liecence, if I get caught that is my job. The truck is very streetable, as long as you stay out of boost. Even when in boost it is controlable. I have not gave it full throttle yet with the 3 bar tune, I dont think Rick is done.

traction problems will be solved with the mickey thompson drag radial set up

that tbss on 275 40 17 drag radials is hitting 1.5 60 foot times no prob. my buddys grand national that ran a 9.89 has the 275 60 15 drag radials from mt and they hook so much harder.

i have a set of 275 40 17 drag radials coming which is perfect wtih the 1.1 ratio of 3rd gear. that will make my rear end gears act like a 4.90 not 4.10 and should be in the sweet range going threw the lights.

What trap speed are you aiming for and at what rpm? I am aiming for 5500-6000rpm, and am looking for 118-125mph. I need a 28 inch tall MT drag or drag radial. To do that I would need a 15 inch rim. That is the plan. But for now I will just play around with the 20's, play with my sus. and see if I can increase my 60ft on street tires. I have 4.11 gears in it right now. I just put them in, so I could dail in 4th gear. (aiming for 5500-6000rpm with 118-125mph) I make the most power in 4th (1:1). The last time I went to the track I had 373's and was going through the traps at 4900rpm at 112mph running only 14psi. If the 4.11 gears don't hurt me from 1st gear to 3rd (not enough load on the turbo to spool it fast enough), I should do alot better. If there is a problem with loading the turbo in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, I plan on using the NOS. I have a little 35shot in there to help with spooling. Its hooked up on the button. Are you going up to Sears point on the 25th?

man last night is great. my buddy raced the 11.58 grand national 3 times and beat him by a car length from a roll was same result. we ended up racing his buddys 11.32 mustang and was at his rear bumper all the way. canada road was goign good last night. rolling start on the freeway same thing at his rear bumpter to 140.

he launces off the line with the 150 shot and no probs at all. you wont have a problem hooking at all with the mt street drag radial.

with a 275 60 15 mt street drag radial (28 inches tall) at 6000 rpms you will be doing 122 mph and at 5500 you will be doing 112 mph.

If you get a built 4L65E because guys are complaining the 4l80e is makign them 1/2 second slower that combined with a yank converter im sure your truck will be a lot faster.

Yeah! I keep thinking The same thing, there is alot of f body turbo guys droping 1/2 second going with the th400. I keep finding good deals on the gv units to make it a 6 speed auto. I just want to run 10.90 on the stock bottom end. I know its a big want but I think I have enough power. I think. I think if I can run a trap speed of 125mph and 1.8 60ft. I think I would be close, 1.6 60ft and I think I will have it. I think it will be harder to do it with the 6 speed, but it is posible. I think it will take alot of practice and a more agressive cam to get the power to come on earlyer. Or just a th400 and a good stall.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a104/NORCALSTI/d.jpg

MODS ARE
Nitrous Xpress 125 shot
yank 3600 stall
ADM 4 inch intake and MAF
ASP Pullies
Stainless Works long tubes with 3 inch tubes coming back to a y which goes into a single 3 inch entry magnaflow and out 3 inches
Hp Tuned

AEM Wideband

LS1 Fans
275 40 17 mickey thompson drag radials.
Removed Front Headlight.

now hes going to launch off the line with the 150 because after last night there was no probs. im sure 150 shot off the line the truck should run 11.30s-11.40s.

the run above he hit the jug past the 60 foot mark. usually runs 1.6 60 foot times on the 100 shot. he just wants to play it safe because im sure tranny will go next.

honestly between teh stock 255 50 20 and 275 40 17 the incrase in power is amazing. off the line with the 255 50 20 it still picks up fast but with the 275 40 17 it just keeps on pulling. on nitrous 1st is so short with the 275 40 17 but the truck is allways in the sweet spot from the 1st to 2nd shift and 2nd to 3rd shift and going threw the lights hes at 6200 which is perfect because redline is at 6500. with the 255 50 20 he would only be at like 5300.

3rd should top out at 121 mph which is perfect. with 121 trap speed should be good for mid to low 11s.
