6.2 turbo build

The shocks help with traction. A little sat back today broke the billet converter. But I upgrading to a diode style stator and a little more stall. Working crazy get this truck ready for the cooler weather coming and get this baby on the track and break some records. Hope the small slick hold up too.

Shocks are summit brand. Built here in the USA. Don't know who builds them but I've used three sets and all of them worked out great. And yes on the flip and caltrac. Before I broke the converter on the street tires it was hooking good on low boost. But would spin after at the same boost.

Hmm...I may need to check that out. You got a link to the shocks? Also, you do have them in stock locations correct? I'm trying to understand how diminished the function of the shocks are with them angled as compared to straight up and down.

if it hooks at first then spins after the hit, youll need to stiffer then front rebound and tighten the rear compression
as for the angles, when my truck had ranchos in stock location [with one flipped towards rear] i would extend rear enough that the shock body would come in contact with the axle. the shocks had rub marks on them from this
you dont realize how much extension the shocks need and being angled you lose alot of extension, with a good shock bar and shock brackets you gain so much with them vertical

I'm sending off the converter for new upgrades and loosen it up a little bit. Going to a diode style converter and looking for less than 500 more rpm to get some playing room for the beast in more boost off the line.

A small update the converter is done and on it way. I can't wait to test it at the track. Hope the 14bolt will hold up. If i can get the truck to 60ft I'm going to turn up the boost to 20ish lb. I will post up soon.

A few pics of the setup. The transmission is work great and transbrake is Awesome. New converter is still being tested. The new intercooler is flowing crazy so the boost on the spring is 10 to 11lb of boost so I'm changing the spring out for something lighter. Want to launch on 3lb of boost on street tires. The Beast does a lot of street racing. More info to come soon.
