It's all dependant on the set-up, not so much the remote location of the turbo.

Add another (smaller) turbo. Should fix everything.

Dude if your going to eventually get a bigger stall converter just leave it in for now and save money for it. Think about how much of a pain in the *** it is to swap it and swap it again a little later.

If I were in your shoes, I would only do a stock to stock converter swap if I found a converter out of a cargo van with the 4.8/80E combo.

Call/email Chris at Circle-D and ask him if he can build you a "budget" converter like the one he built for Sharpshooter.

alright guys, I'm giving in and getting a converter. For a daily driver, will a 3000 stall be fine? and what "STR" should I get? Will I be able to tow a light load around?

Your "Soon to come" cam choice should be calculated into your converter choice. 3000 is not too big. For towing, talk to the converter builder you go with. I tow with my triple disk PI converter all the time (2500 stall)

If you dont already have one, an upgraded tranny cooler is a must if you plan to tow much, and it's a good idea overall. Heat kills transmissions.
