Just email them a tune file of yours and they can do the segment swap for you. You cant use another persons tune without licensing it, and you also need to license the 3bar os.

mine is a 95' 80e out of a van.
i had to have mine rebuilt because the output shaft was incorrect for my long slip yoke, the trans guy also put a longer shifter shaft in.
it was just a $800 rebuild, nothing crazy. it will chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift

Hey guys,
Not much happening with the truck besides my 4l60 is pretty much toast. 2nd gear slips to the moon now. I'm not totally sure if its actually broken or a solenoid went out, but either way. it shifts and drives fine, will 1-3 shift so i can get around.
Either way, so i've been reading about 4l80 swaps. There isn't much info about pre 98 versions. a lot of "additional things you'll need to take care of" without really mentioning them.
I just want to get it in there and running again. I'll worry about rebuilds, upgraded converter and driveshaft later.
I think i've got a list, but correct me if i'm wrong:
95 4l80e trans and converter
Stock 4.8 flex with 6.0L spacer?
HP tuners segment swap
re-pin 4l60e trans connector and add addition VSS pig tail (wired to PCM)
modify stock trans brace
4l80e trans mount
TH400 slip yoke? the stock one is bolted in
re-use stock driveshaft? I keep hearing that the stock driveshaft will work
95' trans cooler fittings with SS lines
longer or shorter shift shaft? Not entirely sure if i need to do this or really what to do.
any advice or thread recommendations is welcome. Sorry if this is the millionth repost. Thanks in advance!

Pre 95? Don't have the neutral safety switch, the shift shaft is to short and there is no mounting tabs to screw the nss to, and I'm pretty surd the pcm needs to know the gear selector for rpm differences from park to drive but nothing more that I know of. <- (don't hold me to that)
I picked up a 93 4l80 from the local yard for 300. Fluid was brown (uh oh) but I threw a trans go HD 2 in, longer shift shaft. A little bracket with spacer to mount the nss to the trans using pan bolt. Circle d 3200, no boost yet, but has held up well to my cammed 4.8 and heavy foot.
The wiring is pretty straight forward. Swap 2 wires around in the main trans harness and add wires for the second vss
The swap is straight forward and should be butter by the looks of your fab skills.
The worst part is the bitch is HEAVY!!!
I put mine in with the truck on jack stands 3 times by my self with just a floor jack. NEVER again!

As for the drive shaft and yoke, there are conversion u joints to run either 80e yoke or 400 yoke. I lucked out and have a 95 work truck and the shaft is larger diameter and had the 80/400 style 3X spline count yoke
But the trans I got bit me in the ***, it had the short spline output and the tail housing was bolt on only yoke so I had to swap it out too, (the yoke wouldn't go in, its the tail housing with 4 bolts on it for tail mounted park brake) other than that its gravie.

I've got a Jake's stage 2 '95 core 80e in my truck, it has the mounts for the NSS (my 60e NSS bolted right up) and the correct length shift shaft (they might have swapped it out looks like a long shaft).
If you are going to run a stock 80e converter you will need the 6.0l flex plate with the 6 bolt pattern and it will already have the spacer.
Your 60e trans mount is the same as an 80e mount (the one that bolts to the crossmember).
For my driveshaft/yoke I was able to use the stock shaft with a conversion u-joint and I bought the yoke from Jake's, its a Sonnax forged piece (short style), but I think they machine the output shafts to accept a slip yoke depending on the style. All I know is everything works.

Also, the circle d "HP series" uses the dished 4.8/5.3/5.7 flex plate and I'm sure other companies can build them like that as well. That's if tour going with a after mark tq converter. If not, then you need the 6.0 flat plate with spacer.

Any suggestion which model/year/engine that i should license? I believe I can grab a stock 2001 silverado 6.0L SS/HD tune. That would work right?
