Default 255 vs bosch 044

Just wondering how much more HP the 044 is good for over the 255?

From what I have seen the 255 supports 650-700 rwhp at best.Out the few 044 I have read about 850 rwhp was the most I have seen.

Thanks guys. Yeah I think im around 750~800RWHP with my 255, and a **** ton of meth and out of fuel. Im going to revamp the whole fuel system someday but for now I just need a little bit more fuel.

A 255 in the tank could not keep up with my set-up below,so I swapped the 255 for an 044 in the tank.I've had no problems since, but I'm not at your power level.

If someone wants to jump in and do the HP per lb of fuel math, the Bosch 040 (intank) and 044 (inline) flow about 265 lph vs about 205lph with the Walbro.

I know Rick @ Synergy ran almost 850RWHP with a intank Bosch and a dual nozzle Alky Control Meth kit (ie: a shitload of Meth!).

Yeah Im running a big diesel 220PSI meth pump with 2 of the biggest nozzles I could get. Im guessing at least 200HP is supplied by meth lol. Interesting thanks for posting the graph, Im down to ~40PSI under WOT, @12psi. Im sure the 044 will drop too but looks like it will give me a bit more fuel. Later plans are to put a fitting in the bottom rear of the tank, and build a bracket to mount a A1000 back there to come on under boost. That way I will be able to run with 1/4 tank of fuel. Right now I have to run with 3/4 of a tank or it starves on the launch. That should cut my race weight by 80~100lbs and solve all fueling issues

The 044 pump is a great pump at a great price. I would never use an Aeromotive again.
