Default 2300 magnacharger vs whipple vs edelbrock

the edelbrock seams to be the most complete kit of all

any one tryed the edelbrock

from both whipple and magnacharger , I tink whipple has a much better design.
but customer service wise , magnacharger seams to be the best of all three

any one has any input?
this will be going in a 2012 reg cab with a L99 camaro 6.2 swap and bolt ons
will get some ARH 1.7/8 headers and dual 3" exhaust with borla XR-1s

whats the max boost on these L99 motors ? gas is 91

mike @ new era peforformance can sell u a 2.9 whipple kit for the trucks.. i had a tvs2300 on my 6.2 with a 102mm throttle body and the phelonic spacer and you've seen how quick it was at only 11 psi on 93 octane and no meth.. although i didn't have a chance to compare the IAT's with the whipples, they say whipples run cooler IAT's but ill have to check that out myself by logging a few trucks. after everything i said.. im going to get a turbo kit soon lol

You might want to visit the camaro5 board. Your choice should depend on your goals just a little bit. That's been beaten to death on that board. Do a little reading over there

If that's all he wants he should get the Maggie and be done. Nothing beats an old roots blower on the low end.

The Edelbrock is basically the same blower in an ugly design lol

I honestly do not think you will be able to tell between one or the other. The edy one is built off of the TVS design. Naturally the 2.9 whip will make or give more CFM per rev then the TVS 2300, but I am not sure how efficient it actually is. If he is looking for top end he needs to go with a procharger or turbo set up IMO

Magnuson and Whipple are both great superchargers and I sell/install/tune both of them regularly. On low boost (say 7 psi), the Magnuson tvs supercharger should make a slight amount more power in the low rpms (under 4500 rpms) it the Whipple 2.3 will make more power above that and be very close down low. My unbiased opinion based on your purpose for the vehicle would be the Whipple 2.3 for higher speed roll racing, again this is just my opinion based on my experience.
