how long did the cam swap take? did you have to drop the oil pan?

Also...do you have a link to the unrestricted fuel line or was it a special order?

thx again

it was a special order from Custom built motors/CBM, but if you call Brent and ask for the fuel line that Kris had, he'll know what you need.

a shop did the cam swap and they did not drop the oil pan. it was a 2 day job

Well, I pulled the trigger on the LT4 cam, fuel line and L86 injectors.

I don't want dual springs, so I am looking at PAC 1218's....I am told that they will fit...I hope so

thx for all the help

You are welcome. Any feedback on why you prefer the single valve springs compared to duals?

I learned my lesson, brian tooley sold me pac 1211x springs for my boosted 010 6.2 with LS9 cam 1 sum bitch took a dump after about 20k miles 1 head 1 piston later it was good again

I will only go dual from now on

KB: my logic to go single was I didnt want a heavy noisy high pressure springs beating up cam, valve seats, cam bearings.

a few reasons...

1) cost
2) not planning on revving past 6k ish
3) ease of install.....supposed to be a drop in replacement (on an ls anyways)
4) a bunch of the ls guys making way more boost have run these for a long time
5) seat pressure as compared to duals....lower = less wear and tear

I was told that these were approx. cam specs

L83 .500/.490 lift
L86 .550/.550
LT4 .490/.551 120 lsa

I agree totally if cam is .600" lift or better..lt4's run on a weaker spring than the 1218 (I believe)

Cost is a restraint on this project.....built engine would be another story

any details on your Silverado?

fwi: I don't see the 1211's listed on the pac site anymore?
