Default 2008 RCSB Radix Install

I was lucky enough to get in on the "Naked" Radix 112HH dealio BlownChevy had going last week. What items would you consider "necessities"?

Right now the truck is 100% stock engine wise, 5.3 Flex Fuel, 4l60e. I know the kit is fairly complete, but I also know I'm the type of person that will be wanting more, and would like to be prepared. Is it worth doing the small things to the tranny (servo, shift kit?), or just leave it alone and be prepared to replace it? Should I go ahead and get boost and FP gauges, or are they easy add-ons later?

Anything else I am leaving out?

Thanks in advance!

Shift kit and servo to start. A big trans fluid cooler wont hurt either. With stock programming (radix) you'll be fine as is but as you turn up da powa you're going to need more supporting mods. Welcome to the club!

And start saving your money for long tube headers, exhaust, etc.

Shift kit and vette servo are fairly inexpensive and may provide more longgevity/durability. LT headers and a cat-back(with a good tune) as suggested will only add to your fun.
Enjoy!

From what I have read the servo appears to be something I can tackle myself, but what about the shift kit? If I do need to take it to someone for the shift kit install, what kind of labor hour(s) should I expect to pay?

If you have the 4L70E then the servos and transmission cooler will make a huge difference in the life of the transmission. Most use the Corvette 2nd and Billet 4th for servos with the 4L70E and love them. The 4L70E actually has a alot of the hard parts that we have been putting into the 60's and 65's.

The trans mods will help durability-wise. Exhaust mods will net more power, but while u saved a great deal on Radix...why not get some gauges to monitor. Wide band, FP, & boost. If I was in your shoes.

Right on, guys. I'm pretty sure my truck has a 4l60e, how can I verify?

I have plans on adding more down the road, getting the kit here and installed will kick start the process!

I would like to have FP, Wideband, and boost gauges, but I'm not a fan of the pillar pods. Hoping to find something that doesn't scream "this guy isn't stock!"

I also still have a complete NX kit with a Nitrous Outlet wet plate and digital window switch that I had purchased for my LS2 GTO, but now I'm thinking it might make it's way onto the truck, just not sure if a wet shot will work through a 112.
