Sorry for another question but why wasn't the mp112 used?. I know the mp112 was near its efficiency limit with the lq4/lq9, but isn't it best to have the smallest blower you can so it makes boost sooner? Did you find that with the l76 , the mp112 was just not flowing enough or out of its efficiency range? I am just curious because isn't the mp122 on the big side for stock radix boost levels since I've seen it feed higher boost 6.0's or 402/408's? Or was the purpose to give the kits some growth room since its a popular trend to up the boost over stock lvls. Just curious thats all

I think the biggest reason to up the size of the Supercharger is due to the flow dynamics of the L92 heads. I have been running these heads with a 122HH for a while and these heads love boost. It will definitely leave alot of potential to push it later. I have my TBSS at 17 psi of boost right now and these heads love it.

so this is due to the massive intake port size on the L92 flowing a lot more air before the restriction rises (boost pressure) vs the lq4/lq9 heads (317 right?).

So would this mean that you can add a lot more air flow before you get to 7psi(restriction) with the l92 heads vs the 317's?

The L92 heads absorb the volume of air due to the flow characteristics and runner volume. The restriction or retention of boost is more based on the cam.

I would love to see some side by side comparisons with the 2 different style heads and the same Supercharger with nothing else changed. The L92's can also handle more timing when compared to the LS based heads.

We will be installing the L92 heads on the project 427 SSR in the next 30 days but we are making other changes to the Supercharger at the same time. This would be a great test but I wont have the time to R&R the Supercharger 2 times in 1 weekend. I will have my plate full to R&R the heads and disassemble the Supercharger for all the modification needed.

The 122 that comes with the radix kit is not the HH version though, correct?
