2004 built 5.3 procharged Yukon tensioner options
Hey new to PT but been on ls1tech for years. I recently purchased a 2004 Yukon with a forged 5.3l with comp cam blower cam| Lt headers | built transmission| p1sc blower with 3.85 blower pulley making about 9psi|.
My question is that I want to put a smaller pulley on to bring on boost a little sooner Is there any aftermarket tensioners or different pulley configurations that would help me from belt slip? I would prob be running 3.40 6 rib pulley. Thanks
Brandon

Swap the position of one of your idler pulleys with one of the mounting bolts...closer to the head unit pulley. Several of us ProCharger guys have done this with success.
I also put a MUCH larger pulley on my tensioner and it seemed to have helped a lot. It's as big as the front wheel on a Snapper.
The bracket flexing is another issue that I had. There are a few ways you can address that as well.
