You also have to wire a switch in the cab to activate the solenoid, but that's STS's 2 stage boost controller.

Ok, so the one shown is there electronic upgrade or manual boost controller upgrade?

from the STS website:

Boost controllers

Manual 0-5 psi Boost Controller - $50
Electronic 5 psi Boost Controller - $150
(allows you to switch between two boost levels)
Electronic 15 psi Boost Controller - $150
(allows you to switch between two boost levels)

Its these ones, The only diff between the 2 is the regulator.

The manual one is just the regulator with no solenoid and in cab switch, meaning you have to get out of the truck and turn the **** to change the boost.

Good luck Jerry, I can't find anyone around here to remove my cats. I'll just have to buy a welder and do it myself.

Just take the y-pipe off and punch out the cats with a piece of pipe. Mine was loud as hell when I gutted the cats. I had a muffler installed in front of the turbo.

Well I gutted the cats Yesterday morning. Center of the cats were melted. I would of took pics but the batteries were dead. Anyhow it was easy to do. I used a pry bar and hammer and just beat the guts out. It's a little louder at idle and alot louder at wot. I have to put a muffler on because it will probably be to loud when i pull my camper. It has kind of a raspy sound when you rev it. I'll have to retune it because it''s runing rich now. I'll have to start all over on my tuning. It can only get better now. You know what they say practice makes perfect. oh yea it feels alot stronger now.
