I did fine on the stock engine and MAF up to 12 psi boost. It was when I changed the engine with stage 2 heads and a small cam that I started to max out the MAF and injectors. With the new parts the VE really needed to be tuned and because it is hard to tune VE when you have boost I switched over to OLSD.
OLSD has presented some tuning challenges but I am slowly working my way through them and for my combination it has been a big improvement over the MAF tune. I have had a couple of OMG this is a great tune revelations and I think there might be a couple of more in it yet.

I think that it is more work, but if you are into tweaking things, I think it is definitely worth it. Tuning has just become another dimension to my performance bug.

I would agree. I have to adjust my tune quite often due to the drastic change in climate here in the North East. Also, changes in elevation will affect your tune if you do any traveling with your truck. My TA was changed over to speed density before I started tuning myself and it ran like crap when the weather changed because it wasn't set up right. Speed density works great if your tuner knows what he is doing but you still need to check it from time to time.
