2.8 Magnacharger pulley on a 6.0?
#2
I doubt anyone has.. That 2.8 is going to generate a lot more heat than a 3.0 or 3.1 pulley and create some KR. You will also be getting into boost a lot sooner and need a tune to compensate for that.

I run the 2.8 on my LQ9. You will need some changes in the tune to run it safely and as everyone knows, your IAT's will be higher so you will need to compensate for this in the summer (less spark advance mainly).

Had one on mine. It was good for 8 more hp and 20# torque vs the 3" pulley. I took it off. Boost comes in much quicker, but I thought there wasn't enough of a power increase to warrant spinning the radix that fast. I'll put it back on if I go to the track. If I remember right, tune was changed a little on the 6.0 with 2.8" pulley vs the 5.3L with the 3.0" pulley. Not much difference in total boost on the 6.0 with the pulley swap. The boost just comes in quicker

You'll need to have it programmed for sure. What year is your truck? If you have an 04' or newer you might have to up the injector size.

I went up to an 2. 85 from a 3.2 on my 05' 5.3 and gained about 25 rwhp and about 46 rwtq kept the same injectors and got a tune. boost does come in a lot earlier though. Still getting used to it as I did a trans, 3000 stall and a pulley change all at the same time so it just felt weird for a while.
