There is no Problem with the elbow now but, I do like the looks of a hard elbow.I will probably switch in the near future though.

We are refering to compressor to intake, even the thickest elbows suck closed unless they are metal. Full intake vacuum at idle, not the filter to blower that is no big deal. The problem with the rubber elbows is that when they get hot from charge air and underhood temps they loose there strengh and become flimsy.

Did you also section a piece of the hard elbow to reinforce it like I did?

I did before, but over time it still failed. Remember I have been running this setup with the intercooler for 2.5yrs now. Only fail safe is all metal elbows.
