The gt2-3 cam makes this truck pull all the way past 6k rpms, BUT when I tow and at other times... I do wish I had a bit smaller cam that emphasized low end tq. Above 3k this truck absolutely hauls ***, no question about it.
When I tow 6,000 lbs the truck will stay in OD and go into boost. Only on very steep hills does it shift into 3rd... then it immediately shifts back into OD. I feel with a bit more low end tq cam that it would not even need to shift outa OD when towing (75mph is about 2200-2300 rpms with the TC locked)

I run hardeded comp pushrods, stock rockers and lifters. There is nothing wrong with the stock lifters and rockers at all
I run NGK Tr ix6.. which are the iridium version of the popular copper TR6 plugs. They are colder plugs and work great with forced induction

I don't know about the 6.0 but my tuner who is out of a shop that makes custom headers said if I put headers on my Maggied L33 5.3 it would fall on it's face. These are guys who put food on the table selling custom headers. They tried it on two vehicles and had to really get radical tuning wise to combat the install. It may be L33 & Maggie specific.
To me I think headers are more applicable in our case for getting a 1/10 or two at the track. Lots of money for the little gain in just running the local diesels.
I would put a Corsa touring edition catback on and enjoy the peace in the cab and the roar at WOT out side the cab. I love mine. The Corsa flows like mad and is amazing to hear. The Touring is less raspy and flows as good as the Sport.
You better get the Cam for picking those diesel boys. Those trucks are my roughest competition. The big 4-door 4x4 long beds with a little tweaking will nip your heals pretty good. The dollar per HP is pretty cheap for them.
With the Stock Maggie Superchips tune I almost got killed by a long bed 4-door 4x4 Ford with pretty big tires. Hew had his window down so when we left the light he could hear my Maggie and the next thing I knew I heard his Banks Kit whistle up and had trouble keeping him from getting his lights to my door handle. He stuck right there for a draw. At the next light he says not bad buddy. I said Whew!
