So the ZO6 gets a 7.0 and the ZR1 gets a SC 6.2? somebody at GM got that backwards. ZR1 should get a 7.0 SC. It would only cost eleventy-billion dollars more.

Maybe that thing is a jackshaft, cogged over driven, beast pumping out 25psi with a big fat cam spining to 7,000.

The ZR1 got a 6.2 so the block was still plenty rigid to be an OE high performance car. The Z06 is an OEMs attempt at NA pushrod domination. The LSA and LS9 is a purpose built platform to take lots and lots of boost. Plus being that a version of a 2300 was built I wouldn't think they'd want to use one on a 427 and make power and deal with all the emissions. Plus the LS7 has a more road race rev friendly rotating assembly. So to boost it they'd have to completely rework everything. With the LSA and LS9 they have a block and rotating assembly that can be used the 3 CTS-V, ZR1, and whatever the new LSA powered Camaro will be. I wish they'd offer an Escalade with a Duramax or a LSA.
