cost is a factor too. many people i talk to do not belive the gt series compresors are worth the extra money. i dont know what a pair of gt42's cost but i am prety sure i can get a pair of t72's for well under $1000 each. probably get a bearing style unit from garet for not much over $1000 each either.

 

Jose's got the GT42s for $999-1499 (GT42-70T - GT42-80T) Might be worth talking to him. he also has PTEs / master power up there but no prices listed.

BTW he's got innovative GT70s listed for 1585 for P trim and no BB.

what you need jim is for one of the turbo guys to sponsor you. it's not like you don't get enough people looking at your truck whether it be on here, 1320, hot rod magazine, etc.

 

Wheel 2 Wheel's truck kit as featured in How to Build High Performance LS1 Engines uses the stock intake manifolds. Also talk to fullthrottledan, I know he hates showing pictures, but he did it on his first setup with twins. He should be up and running pretty soon as well with his custom built setup.


I would really do some flow bench work on your heads and what not, then talk to Garrett directly, send some links to videos or get on the phone and tell them to open up a recent issue of Hot Rod.

 

Garrett is really cool. They sponsored my formula SAE car and all formula SAE car teams that just put their sticker on the side of the vehicle. In return you got two turbos to choose from and a direct phone # to a tech dude. With your publicity a similar deal should be easily obtainable.

Harlen is running two 42's with a T4 hot side too. Its worth the money for the GT series. Also I would stray away from the BB Garret units.

 

Try a pair of Holset Pro-52's 50+ psi and plenty of air.. About a 4.3 pressure ratio and 120lbs/min airflow

What are some of those old sayings, "No such thing as too much power" and "The first 1 second time reduction is way cheaper than the last 1 second".

 

garrett turbos dosnt come with a warranty at all. turbonetics turbos are the only ones out with a no fault no hassel warranty.
