Default 08 Sierra manifold flip/build thread

Whats up everyone!? So I blew the gov loc rear end on my 08 sierra and decided the only logical thing to do was turbocharge it while it was down..lol I plan on this being my winter project ive gotten a pretty good jump on it but the progress wont be as fast from now on... I enjoy reading all the other build threads and figured it was only right to have one of my own... and im sure ill need some guidance along the way... the truck is a 5.3l 2 wheel drive SLE flex fuel..

Goals: Fun, tire burner... just want a fun to drive unique truck 400hp id be happy...thinking 8-10psi
build plans:
T72 turbonetics-already bought
Injectors... possibly 52# (open to suggestions)
DOD delete
Fuel pump (open to suggestion) thinking Walbro 255
Ls6 Cam+Springs (open to suggestion)
ebay intercooler
turbosmart bov and wastegate
maybe Holly Hi ram intake if im not bankrupt by the end...

Pulling the trigger next weekend on dod kit and possibly cam and springs..
here's my progress so far! look forward to some encouraging feedback!

Since your flex fuel you may be ok with the stock pump.
Do a stock48 triple 212 cam instead of the ls6.

Agree completely... only real intentions for purchase would be to make the engine a little more appealing visually..

Question, If the y-pipe is one piece welded and the factory mani's have studs in them, how do you install the y-pipe since it looks like the flanges are facing away from each other? I like the build and the last pic looks good. Where is that BTW?

Thanks man. The factory y pipe flange on the passengers side is a collar that free moves so i just slid it up set the drivers side and slid it down after... however i also plan on welding in some flex joints before im done...
