I see, thanks, i guess its the internet connection here in Iraq, all i get is a bunch of red x's on the right column. I mean some of them show up, but our internet is sooooo slow, its like slower than the slowest dial up you have ever seen in your life. lol.

But soon enough i will be back home and surfin the web at full speed again.

Im still runnin stock tranny with vette servo's, shift kit and stall. Ive got 82,000 on the clock. Tranny still runnin strong. (fingers crossed) shifts firm and no slip. Need to install my meth still and maybe a cam down the road. This should reach my high 12XX goal. The turbo works great as a DD. You don't even know its there tell you put your foot in it! I also tow a car trailer with the Turbo!

If you dont mind me asking? did you install yourself or have someone do it. and if you had it installed what was the total cost for the turbo kit parts and labor.

If you want to PM me with that info. If not i understand some people get screamin deals and dont wanna mess up their hookup..

Nelson Performance in San Antonio seems to be the closest place, I have emailed them a bunch of questions waiting for reply.

Anyone dealt with them before?

thanks

I installed the kit myself. The turbo kit itself is a piece of cake to install, it was my intercooler i bult that was more time consuming. The turbo kit was 4050.00, I bought an ebay intercooler for 200.00 and pipes off ebay for 100 bucks. You will also need bigger injectors and a tune. If you did everything yourself including intercooler, bought injectors and had Nelson do the tune you would be right around $5,000. Nelson performance in San Antonio sells the Trick kit, he also sells an intercooler kit , injectors and can tune your truck, And install everything if you wanted them to. Nelson would be a great shop to do all your stuff.

Lucky bastard My tranny lasted 2 weeks but I also ran 14lbs of boost I would atleast think about a tranny build. With the trick kit I got 450hp/480tq out of my 5.3L at 7lbs of boost.Never got a chance to dyno the 14lbs but I'm sure it was 550-600rwhp out of the little 5.3.

The total cost I figured would be $7-$8k from use with everything included/installed/tuned/intercooled.That should give you an idea.

Where are you located? If SA is closed to you then Austin is pretty close too, I'd be willing to help you install pretty much anything you get, none of it is hard just time consuming. I refuse to do trans swaps though, im tired of being huddled under a truck in my garage

You really think 7-8k, That seems pretty high to me. I would say 6,000 tops.

You gotta remember thats intercooled, tuned and the support of a knowledgeable person that can take care of whatever problems may come up, out of that figure he is probably clearing 2K on the deal but you have to figure in what his time is worth and the tuning. Good tech support for someone to diagnose in person and to not have to deal with turning a wrench to some is worth more then others. There is no replacement for experience and ability.
