Default $50 turbo oil feed

hey, thought i would share my oiling system with everyone. rather than spend a couple hundred bucks on fancy braided hoses and an fittings, i used pipe fittings and hydraulic lines. its cheap, flame resistant, and rated to 4500psi. I got a 3/8 pipe tap and ran it into the oil galley hole in the front of the block. it didnt even cut new threads, it just opened it up a bit cuz all i got were tiny little filings. next i threaded in a 3" nipple and put a 90* facing the front of the truck. now i ran 1/4" hyd hose to a remote mount filter boss(Jegs, $25) then from the filter boss to the turbo. another plus was it added a quart to the oil system

filter boss-$25
hyd hose-$15
fittings and tap-$10

Where do you get that much hydraulic hose for $15. The fittings alone cost more than that.

Brass fittings aren't expensive and the male ends on the Hyd. hose are cheap as well.

To swage the ends like that around here is like $10 a pop. I had a set of custom ps lines made once and the fittings/labor was a fortune.

So are you offering a service to us city boys need hydraulic lines?

the places around make your lines up for free as long as you buy the parts from them.
