Default VA inspections with no cats

who's in VA and is running no cats? Im wondering how difficult it might be to pass inspection if i ran LT's and no cats. Cause im fairly sure where i go to get inspected they check the whole exhaust.

I used to live in VA and it depends on the shop. Most shops are really strict on the visual check so you need to know somebody to get them to pass it. If you put on some gutted cats they normally won't say anything.

yeah thats what i thought...they were strict. I swear VA sucks for modding vehicles. I might try to see if it counts if i weld in a cat in front of the muffler

I had a shop gut out two cheap 3 inch cats and weld them in to look like they were high flows. I think it cost me around $150 but it will cut down on the hassle.

I'm catless and just got inspected yesterday with no problems. I went to the dealer. Do not go to an exhaust shop as they are more apt to look so they can sell you some. Don't go to a tire shop if you are close to needing new tires (etc).
