Default Trouble again

OK! i have had just about as much as I can take with electrical systems. I have a 97 s10 RCSB. I recently replaced/upgraded plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, and coil. When ever its cold out, only when its cold out, my truck misfires! So i take it to a garage and get it hooked up to a OBD 2 code reader. The dude at the garage tells me that I have random or multiple cylinder misfires. This is the reason that I replaced all that stuff in the first place. Now, once the truck is heated up(past 200 degrees) the misfires go away. WTF is wrong, help me out!

Maybe some of the mud that you are going through in your avatar has fouled something up.

I have no clue!

at night, pop the hood while its running. see if you can see any plug wires arching to your exhaust manifolds.

or check your wires for burn marks. might be arching

I'm no mechanic but it sounds like an intake leak to me. Spray some brake cleaner around the intake and see if it stalls it.

Well at least I was more helpful than xlr8nss....see avatar.

only when cold outside or when veh is cold?? could be a leaking fuel pressure regulator leaking fuel into the engine overnite causing the rough start-ups...

LOL when i restarted mine at the end of last winter. i pulled 1 wire off, and my 4.3 idled fine on 5 cylinders. then i pulled another, and it started to shake.

those things will run with mud in them.

check the vacuum, and like said above, check the manifold for leaks.

Break cleaner or carb cleaner wont make it stall if its a intake leak, if there is a leak the rpm will climb when it sucks in whatever you are spraying. Unless you are spraying water...
