Default Mass dyno tuning, DEZ Racing !

Since installing Whipple-chargers on our '04 5.3 Tahoes I'd always thought they could be, somehow, better.
Now they are!

We brought TeHoes to Don (aka SLOWHAWK) at DEZ Racing in Seekonk, Massachusetts yesterday and couldn't be any happier!
For the same cost of many mail-order tunes (which I researched for months) he took the time to listen to what we've done, what we think of the situation and where we want to be. Then, while servicing our trucks, he made suggestions as to what we might actually want to do. His knowledge of Gen III engines is priceless and he backs up every statement with real world experience (in fact, saved me from dropping $2,000 on heads which I won't need). This guy builds Vettes that run in the 9's with fully functional climate control still attached.

He "pulled" the trucks on his DynoJet, read our computers, downloaded, uploaded, DROVE THEM while testing, pulled again, adjusted, and repeated the process until the trucks were up to his spec. I wish I could find a physician to give me the kind of attention that the Tahoes recieved!

The net result was @ 15% increase in HP and 10% TQ. I also had him adjust out the TM. On the 30+ mile ride home my fuel economy was up to almost 17mpg from 15.2mpg and that was with me ripping up my tires every chance I could. These results are during a 95'+ day, not even ideal. So my Hoe is now putting down 343rwhp and 336rwtq. Not bad for an SUV!

Ford guys, you too. Although I hate to share the advantage (j/k), DEZ has tech's that specialize in FoMoCo too. These guys do super-high-end custom work for breakfast.

Sorry if it all sounds a little 'spammy' but I am SO impressed with the level of professionalism and service from DEZ Racing that you fellow New England citizen truck drivers need to know, there's hope for us!

DEZ Racing is located at 1176 Fall River Ave. (Rte 6 East) in Seekonk, MA. It's easy off Rte 195 and one town East of Providence RI. The number is 508-336-6588.

Jake, you do know pretty damn well what you're talking about, you did say that. Next time we run at NED I'll you what he said. Until it's done, I don't wanna shoot my mouth off around the board. I will re-state that SlowHawk knows these Gen3's so well, it's boarderline frightening.
I was so impressed with DEZ's work, I'm considering some L O V E to Wifey's Lincoln and you all know my heart is shaped like a Bowtie.

Josh, when my Hoes are done, We're gonna melt off a couple sets of old tires just for you! With no wheel hop!

You guys should really consider going to DEZ. At least get on the dyno for starters. Once you talk to these guys, in person, you'll believe! No way you can get it via internet.

I talked to them about setting up a dyno day this fall...until then, let's think about next Wed. night.

It was nice seeing you yesterday T And I thought I was going to have an easy day until the Yukons rolled in

We should also add that the trucks were run on the dyno in 2nd gear which actually spit's out a lower dyno # but keeps out all the tire shake from the dyno graph. When we scanned T's truck it had 3 degree's of KR and put out 320hp on the dyno. After the tuning it put out 342hp and had 0 Kr from 0mph to 115mph on the street

I tried to talk Teddy into making his truck into a 1000hp daily and driver, and his eye's did light up ,but reality set in and we decided that might be too much HP and Teddy would probly try to do 1 mile burnouts

They're Z71 T A H O E S, not Yukons! geeeeez. think you'd have it straight after spending all day with them!
That's 342.9 Hp give me some slack. But it's really all about the TORQUE
And we've only just begun the fun!

Anyway, thanks again!

Sweet numbers guys, it's nice to see more East Coast guys making power with the trucks Seems like until recently, if it wasn't an F-body or Vette, nobody east of the Mississippi would touch it. Keep up the good work!
