Default Arching Problem??

well the s-dime has to go to the shop. It has a problem somewhere near the distributer. Its archin all over the place and I have no idea where it came from. I took off the cap and the rotor looking for a crack or something that would be causein the arch and there was nothing. I put everything back together and cover the edges with silicone to try and prevent it from archin. Worked fine all day till i went home last night and it was missin. I opened the hood and saw that the coil, Coil wire, and about 2 plug wires are glowin blue so idk wtf is goin on. If anyone know what could be the problem lemme know!

I would just buy a new distributor cap. I've heard many stories like this where people swear the cap was fine but end up finding out they have a hairline crack that is almost impossible to see. Might not hurt to get some new plug wires too, or make sure the boots aren't damaged.

I had the cap completely off and checked it good. I just put new plugs and wires on it about a month ago.

I would still replace the cap, the damage could be so small that it is almost impossible to see. Caps aren't too expensive and you can just return it if it doesn't fix the problem.

Wires are probably ok if they are new just check to make sure they are fully seated and the boots are all good and didn't get damaged somehow.
