And no cheating with the 90mm intakes. I'm talking stock GMT800, 78mm intake/TB.

Anyone running one on a 400+ cube motor? Just curious to compare my results to others. Final numbers after tuning are coming either today or tomorrow!

A member on here "Lurius" (doesn't post much anymore) has been running a truck intake and 78mm tb on his 408 for awhile. It seems like its doing good.

I never got my truck on the dyno with my 418 but it felt stronger then my cammed 5.3 on a 150 shot and the 5.3 made a hair under 460rwhp. With that said even with the 237/242 cam i was running the power seemed to level off around 5500, I was shifting at 6600-6800. It was especially noticeable in the upper 2nd gear and 3rd gear area. I think on a stroker motor the FAST 92/92 setup would be worth it.

well when i was running a stock 78mm intake you could tell it was wanting more air. I am running the old ssr 90mm intake and it seems to do pretty good.

Well, so far, the preliminary numbers for my truck are 470/453. But, I think that it was a tad lean on that pull so I'm sure it'll be slightly off of that when the final tune is done.

I guess I worded the title a little wrong...I'm not trying to make a contest out of it, just trying to see what this truck intake is capable of making. I have an SSR 90mm intake, and an LS6 intake, and I don't know that it would be worth the trouble, time, or money to swap. Maybe to an aftermarket intake, but not to another stock-style intake.

Wow, nice numbers!

I think a Fast 92/92 would be worth the effort OR a single plane with a 4 bbl throttle body on top.

with my combo...i know for a fact that the truck intake SLIGHTLY out produces the ls6 intake no matter what flow graph you look at.

i hear that the ls6 is better than the ls2 so my best bet is that the truck intake beats them all. thats not considering the fast and vic intakes. thats a whole other ball game.

I really like the looks of the Eddy Pro-Flow XT. That, and a set of the "Chevrolet" GMPP aluminum valve covers would look sweet IMO. Just can't decide if I wanna be a guinea pig or not.
